The Most Rev. Dr. Delbert L. Jackson,
Presiding Prelate
The Most Rev. Dr. Delbert L. Jackson is a life-long member being born in the African Union Methodist Protestant Church and Connection, specifically, The Griffith African Union Methodist Protestant Church, Cedar Hill near Elkton, Maryland. He was ordained as a Deacon and an Elder at the same time in 1977 by Bishop Robert F. Walters. In 1984, he was appointed The Presiding of District One. In 1986, he was elected by the people and consecrated by Bishop Robert F. Walters to the position of Bishop Coadjutor of the AUMP Church and Connection. In 1988, The Right Rev. Dr. Delbert L. Jackson succeeded Bishop Walters, upon his death, as the Presiding Bishop of the AUMP church and Connection.


Bishop Jonathan O. Stewart
Co-Adjutor
The Right Rev. Jonathan O. Stewart was raised in Wetipquin, Maryland and joined St. James African Union Methodist Protestant Church in Head of the Creek, Maryland. He was ordained a Local Preacher and a Deacon to St. James in 1983 by Bishop Robert F. Walters. In 1984, he was ordained an Elder in the AUFCMP Church and Connection. He pastored several churches and in May 1993, he was appointed as Presiding Elder of District One by The Right Rev. Dr. Delbert L. Jackson. In May 1993, he was also elected to serve as General Treasurer of the AUMP Church and Connection. During the District Conference in February 2018, Elder Stewart was elected by the people and installed into the office of Bishop Co-adjutor of the AUMP Church and Connection by The Most Rev. Dr. Delbert L. Jackson.
